Wow, I don't know, but I may have a little more information...I haven't surfed enough posts to see if this has been covered, but this is plaguing me to the point where I simply want to drop off my Taco, hand over the keys and be done with it!

I have an 06 Taco Dbl Cab, and right before 30k miles, I noticed the squeaking. Took it to the dealer, and they said, no problem, we'll 'grease' it up. Everything was fine, and I was impressed, until 6 months later, it started doing it again! Brought it to another dealership, and started sniffing around on the web, and as it turns out, its a TSB related to the silencer pads in b/t the leaf springs. So that dealership, replaced the 4 plastic silencers (2 on each side) and I left, everything was good, until 6 months later, it happened again.

So I go back, and the SM gives me some info about how they got some new "Nasa" spec grease and would put that on, so they did, started squeaking again. Went back, they replaced the pads one more time (for free, these are like $200 for the set of 4) and I left. Squeaked again, was well over 60k at this point...Brought it back, and they didn't even bother to grease it up or look at it and just told me that they had some new 'prototype' silencer pads in the work, and the dealer would call me as soon as they came in. I'm still waiting for that phone call.

I have the TRD package, I don't know if I have 3 or 4 leaf springs or the Bilstein Shocks. I see the 'harsh ride' TSB mentioned, but I never put anything in my bed. I've noticed that after a nice underbody car wash, the squeaking will stop maybe for a day.

This seems to plague places where, yes, there is a lot of dust in the air, but also here in Houston, the moisture and humidity comes into play.

What amazes me is the fact that everywhere I go, when my truck constantly squeaks with every movement, people turn their heads and look at me. I can only think that they think I"m driving some broke down POS, but when they see its a nice Tacoma, I wonder what that says to them about Toyota...I know its making me feel pretty bad.

If anyone can help, or give me advice on how to completely replace the stock stuff to stop the squeaking (like sinking money into it, maybe a nice figure $$$) would greatly be appreaciated b/c I'm about to give up!

I've got a nice squeak in my front passenger spring. It annoys the hell out of me but I have no idea what to do or where exactly it's coming from.
