I had a 2008 Honda with the factory premium sound system and loved it. There was a small sub in teh trunk.

Now i got my toyota access cab and can turn the volume all the way up and it just doesn't sound that good or loud.

What can i get for about $300 bucks to make it better? $500 MAX. Plus it can't look aftermarket. i don't wanna get burglarized.

    thanks guys

If you want to keep the stock head unit, consider a setup like this:

    • Stock HU
    • Line out converter ($100): Audio Control LC2i
    • Two channel amplifier (~$100): pick one that fits your budget and matches with your speakers.
    • Installation parts for amplifier (~$50)
    • One set of component speakers (~$100-$200): pick some that sound good to you
    • Rear speakers: disconnect them or power them off the stock HU. Don't power them off the amp.

I'm running a JL CleanSweep. It's pretty good. Will probably sell it soon though for a new head unit that has navi.
