fuel mileage difference by small speed

    Ryan,

    I've owned my 2009 PreRunner V-6 since September and I average on Fuelly 20.1 MPG. 2000 rpm, as others have mentioned is the optimum point for fuel economy. I was disappointed the first few fuel-ups with the mpg, but read the posts here and followed the suggestions.

    I also purchased an UltraGauge and I monitor my mpg with the gauge as a reminder.

    3 inch lift by dealer at purchase
    I can assure you that shifting at 1500 will not lug the engine unless you are towing or carrying a heavy load.

    You are not keeping the shifter in "4" instead of "D", right? As silly as it may sound, more than a few people do it by accident.
