Why did you run them at 45? Just curious.

mine were e rated tires with 80 psi max, i ran a chalk test and between 40-45 psi wore the most even and gave me a more solid feel on the road.

90% of my driving was freeway at the time and I was lucky to get 25k out of a set of these BFG AT

My truck was also always within my alignment specs so that the tires would have no additional reason to wear as rapidly.

I have extra weight on my truck on all 4 corners and I drive aggressively.

So the extra psi seemed to help balance out the tire feel.

If I ran any lower the truck would wander and squeal around the smallest of turns, the yahoos at discount tire would constantly disregard my request and put them at 26-28 psi according to my door tag...

I have since switch discount I use because of an argument with a garage employee screaming at me to NEVER go higher than the door tag says regardless of the fact that these are a different size and weight rated tire. LOL

These were the worst tires in my driving history to maintain balance from highway speed wobble.

I would rotate them every 3k or less and they would always need a re-balance as well or else past 60mph on the freeways was hilarious.

they did wear evenly and I kept my 2 best ones as spares.

I have over 10k on my wrangler duratracs and they look a month old, and are way smoother and quieter with waaaaay better grip and pedal feel in all conditions.

Hell even my last tires were KM2's and they had far less wear after 25k and never had balance issues and felt better even on the road.

After all was said and done....it was the tires, at least two of them. Out of those and into highway Michelin LTX MS/2's. I drive 95% highway and really got the BFG for looks. Time to be realistic.

Won't buy BFG for this truck again. Maybe a full size Tundra. My feelings are the BFG AT's aren't designed for the small Tacoma.

Sounds about right, seems the BFG AT are better suited on a heavy rig and not on a Tacoma.

Mine were nothing but a hassle, Glad discount let me swap them out after 100 miles on them.

I sold mine on Craigslist, with buyer having full knowledge of what I had going on in them. $500 for the set, paid $900 for them less than 2k miles ago. Bent over on that one.

I don't think I will be buying BFG anytime soon. Super happy with the ride of these Michelin tires.

I would buy the BFG KM2's again if my truck was a more dedicated second vehicle, those tires impressed me in performance and overall wear for a mud tire.

Michelin was a brand I was considering when I went with my Goodyear Wrangler Duratracs, these tires have been outright amazing.
