So my 06 4x4 taco with about 80,000 on it has been throwing codes lately. Just started throwin P0012, P0022, P0351. It has always thrown the 2 codes for the o2 sensors. Cant remember what the codes were but replaced the sensors yet codes still there so im thinking catalytic converter?? Anyways anyone know what could cause the 3 new codes? and how much it would cost to fix, or if i can do it myself easily?
    thanks in advance, Bryan

Ya i read what the codes mean, im looking for what caused it assuming the 3 codes are all related to one thing, and what i can do to fix it or someone knowing the estimate of how much a shop would charge.

I can't diagnose your problem from here, and I doubt that anyone will claim that ability, however...

If you dig down into the possible causes of each trouble code on obd-codes.com, you will see that P0012 and P0022 have the same list of causes

A P0012 DTC trouble code may be caused by one or more of the following: Incorrect camshaft timing Wiring problems (harness/wiring) in intake timing control valve control solenoid system Continuous oil flow to VCT piston chamber Failed timing valve control solenoid (stuck open)

A P0022 DTC trouble code may be caused by one or more of the following: Incorrect camshaft timing Wiring problems (harness/wiring) in intake timing control valve control solenoid system Continuous oil flow to VCT piston chamber Failed timing valve control solenoid (stuck open)

If you google for both of them (tacoma p0012 p0022) you'll see a link to customtacos.com on the first page of results
    http://www.customtacos.com/tech.old/files/05FSM/repair.html

If you follow that link, you'l find this
    http://www.customtacos.com/tech.old...06toyrm/06toypdf/06rmsrc/rm2006ta/0050013.pdf

    and this
    http://www.customtacos.com/tech.old...06toyrm/06toypdf/06rmsrc/rm2006ta/0050033.pdf

Which will lead you to the diagnostic procedures that will help you decide if you want to figure it out yourself or take it to a shop.

I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that you should check the appropriate wire connections for looseness and/or corrosion. I've heard of the VVT Oil Control Valve (OCV) being clogged and stuck, and it may be possible to clean it.

    This may help

That's about as far as I can go without opening the hood of your truck.
