did it skip steam power? they had steam carriages before gas ya know

i bet he put polyurethane spacers on his buggy before switching rigs and having to get a new leaf pack for the model t

Made a recce run past my local tire shop today ... They anxiously await new wheels to arrive.

 

Is it normal for these trucks to have trouble with hot starts? If I've shut the engine off within the last 15 minutes it kind of stutters to start again. I just let it crank over once or twice extra. My old chevy did the same thing

 

Got off the pavement a little this morning. It's definitely time for a front lift. Way too much rubbing going on.

 

Not normal. Could be a 'leaking' injector causing temporary flooding in one cylinder.

 

How can I check for a leaking injector?

 

The last 4 Toyota's I've had did this. The 2.4l taco engine was the worst, but the 5vz does it too.

 

Well "youngster", when Cornfed spacers were just a rough pencil sketch shared on Tacoma Territory, Rancho sold complete fixed 2" lift coilovers while SAW and Downey (now closed) sold adjustables. The Downeys were just a threaded sleeve on an otherwise stock Billie. Then Fabtech tried selling a cut rate SAW under their name with stock type rubber bushings (a disaster). Next Fox and King jumped into the adjustable market. Finally after all the TTORA debating with Cornbred settled down, he lined up a machinist and started selling. They were made in very small batches as a few orders accumulated and sometimes took a month to get. OME didn't come along in the USA till a few years later.

If I remember correctly the pre-cat is about $115 (Denso) on rock auto. Don't quote me on that.

I would like to know this also. After the engine is at operating temp and I turn it off then let it sit for 30 mins or so, it cranks but won't start. I have to spend about 2-3 mins trying to crank it to get it to finally start. It's worse when its warmer outside.

 

Haha, like I mentioned it was a different vehicle, International's are heavy pigs, not the Tacoma that I had this experience with. Yet. Time will tell with the Tacoma and the poly bushings. Although as I get older I find I don't wheel quite as hard as I used too.
