I live in the Washington D.C. area and we're some little bitches. We close schools over 1" of snow or sometimes even some cold rain. On top of that, we treat the hell out of our roads with salt. I mean...it's truly disgusting how much salt is dumped.

Anyway...they're talking about treating the roads :mad: this already makes me really mad because I personally feel it does more bad than good, not even considering all the rust, corrosion, and destruction it causes us vehicle owners. I feel that the salt melts the snow a bit, but then it facilitates the the snow turning into ice, which is much more dangerous.
Not even to mention how our roads are such deplorable shit because the melted snow creeps into the road cracks and freezes and adds to our thousands of potholes that will never get fixed.

then they mention the word I'm most scared of. "Brine". Not only are they going to treat the roads with salt, they are now going to use a salt brine solution for "more effective application.":mad::mad:

THEN they talk about how they have developed some new syrup-y solution that will bond the salt brine to the roads for up to FIVE DAYS!!!:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

well, Taco, it was nice knowing you...now you're doing to be dissolved in water in a matter of days

WHAT DO I DOOOOOOOOOO WHAT CAN I DOOOOOOO WHAT TO DOOOOOOOO
I guess I just need to get a car wash like...daily. Too bad they are $12-18 here

    i couldn't agree more
nothing i hate more than driving my new truck on salted roads. it does create a less desirable driving surface most times it is applied also. Kills me when they dump salt on top of 4 inches of snow instead of plowing!

I'm frustrated that the roads in my area are going to be flooded in salt for the next 5-7 days. Maybe you have some tips that can help keep my Tacoma salt-resistant
