What is up. I just got my Sister's husband's old truck, on family discount of course. I got my Tacoma for more than half off KBB. Even for the price I paid, I could have got a Jeep, which is what I always thought I would get, however, for $3500 I couldn't get anything near as new, or as awesome!

I always thought I would buy a Jeep, and up till about a week ago, I never really considered a Yota, let alone a Taco. I guess what I would say is, some people choose their own path, while others, it is thrust upon them. The great Yota knew I was destined for a Tacoma!

She is a 2004 Regular Cab 4x4 2.7L, I like the fact that she has nothing done to her cause she is a Base model, not a TRD, so I get to start from scratch. My mechanic says she is in great shape and passed inspections easily, and today I got her fully detailed, and she is definitely a beaut. I don't think she will stay that clean for long!

I will be reading as much as possible before I begin to figure out what exactly I plan to do to her, because at this point, I don't really know what I need to get. I do know what I would like to do, and that is get her, what I call, "Utah Ready", which is capability for deep desert trails, and climbing mountain canyons!

Eventually I want her ready for Southern Utah (rocks and sand), like Moab and the Sand Dunes!

I been doing some informative research, and I figured I would at least post my ideas for starting out!

Right now, I don't think I will have any problems with "capability" for the "light" travel I will do to the Uintas and Tooele this spring, but I am having an issue with "comfort-ability", especially for long term driving.

Which is why I have come up with a few things I want to get done before Summer comes, specifically getting things that make the ride smoother. I don't know all the things I can do but from what I read, new seats is like the best upgrade in terms of being comfortable. Then the second is the Shock Absorbers, which should make the ride tighter and give better performance.

I am still looking into installing a xtracab center console into my regular cab. I have a stick shift, and no one can sit in middle comfortably, and I am actually certain no after-market bench would fit anyway because of the indent! So I am looking at bucket seats.
