took out over load leaf spring, double chamber magna flow, Pink emblem, took off most Decals, 4inch fagtech, 4k HIDs, two 10 p1 rockford fostgate. Aftermarket head unit. 3.73 to a 4.10 gearing, Plasti dip the sides, customized headliner, added a flag mount and slapped on a dirtlawz decal
So I have to Rockfordfostgate p1 punchs and I then I get a mono amp... I don't know until I take it apart if it's a 2ohm or 4ohm sub. If its a 2 is it possible to make it a 4ohm?

What size Fosgates? If I'm looking at your build right they're 10's. I believe the P1S4-10. If I am right, they are 4ohms each.

There might be a trick or 2, just need to know that first. Might have dual voice coils too which would maybe matter..

Also, what model amp do you have? That's a must know.

Yeah they're two 10s I went on their site and they have p1d2 and p1d4 and that depends if it's 2 or 4 and I don't know which one i have until I take it apart haha. It's a kenwood 1200watt mono amp. I don't recal the other facts about it. Got cause its 1200 haha then someone tells me that mono it means like bass or something and that my subs need to be Briged. With explins why when I hook both up it doesn't sound very good hahaha

first that ken wood amp won't really give you 1200Wrms its most likely a 600 rms @ 14v rated amp. You will want to wire the subs in parallel to wire at 2ohms and ensure your grounding points for the amp and up front by the battery are beefed up or extra grounds added.

I'll do some more looking later, but I'll echo what manethon said about your ground and power..can never be too good.

Even if it feeds 600 that Kenwood will be decent, Brooke. I have a Jensen 600 which is probly half that in reality. Now factor in it's 14 yrs old. I have 2 12" MTX subs and it works good enough. I want to upgrade to perhaps a Megaloud but can't justify doing it before the current one croaks.

No biggie but if you have it nearby, post the model# of the amp..

I found this one as an example, sake of argument let's say it's this amp:

    http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_18609_Kenwood-eXcelon-X1200M.html

    800wattsx1 at 4ohm
    1200wattsx1 at 2ohm

Let's say you want the 1200 watts, so you're going to want to have a 2ohm load total on your speakers.

Assuming your speakers are 4ohm each (and I'm taking a stab that they probably are), use the 2nd diagram "Speakers in Parallel". Your pair of 4ohm speakers are now working at the 2ohm load, so you're gaining an extra 400 watts of output versus the other method.

If the drivers are 2ohm each, that parallel wiring would take them to 1ohm. If your amp is 1ohm stable that's even more output. If not, use the 1st diagram "Speakers in Series" and you'll get the 4ohm load.
