Glad I was able to remember that and help you out. It seems a lot easier with 2 people. I installed mine in my uncle's (a mechanic) garage. Every time I got stuck he would come out and tell me what I needed to do. It worked every time. I guess after 15 years you are just that good.

yeah, well did you have to take off the studs on the drivers side too? bc that seems alot tighter and harder....

the drivers side was harder. because of the tubing. The passenger is easy after you get it in place the drivers was a pain all the way around. Also remember not to tighten the nuts all the way until you have the y pipe connected. That will be difficult with a tranny in I think.

I got the passenger side in!!! yippy!!! It was real easy after I took those studs out!

I will try the drivers side now and see what happens.

And I made sure not to tighten anything down! I was ganna use some RTV on the gasket and Headers, but there was no way I could've... I hope It will seal tight with new OEM gaskets! :(

I got the drivers side in, well half of it... lol..
It wasnt that hard really, I just had to move my breather lines, and it slid right down into place. Oh and by the way Im using some anti-sieze on the studs for precaution. My dads idea.....

I had my bro hold it and the gasket while I put a couple studs in. That was a PITA.

Oh! If anyone is reading this who has put TRD Headers in before,(Chris4x4) I would like to know how the heck Im sappose to tighten the last bolt and stud closest to the fire wall on the drivers side?

whats a weeble tool? sorry never heard of one...

Well I was thinking of using some lock-tite on the bolts, but should I be using anti-sieze instead?

Well, it looks like I cant finish it. Im ganna have to take it down to my buddy's shop to finish. But am worried that It might hurt something if I drive with open headers?

Oh and one of my studs wont go in all the way, like its cross threaded or something. we tryed getting it in like 5 times but wont go In right. its snug but I dont like it... this job was more then I can handle and shouldve had a shop do the Install. Im freaken pissed at myself for even trying to attemp this. Its probably ganna leak and be shitty!

I drove mine to the shop to get the rest welded on and it was 7 miles. I don;t know about driving it if the manifolds aren't on though. Just make sure wherever the exhaust gas is coming out that there are no wires in the vicinity. Stinks you couldn't get it.

Yeah, Its just the y-pipe and then welding the new flange on. And for some reason the donut flange wont sit tight and flat up against the header flange. we might have to take the y-pipe off and try to get them to fit right. :(

Were done for today, and we will be taking it down in the morning and getting it all done, I hope... I am never going to attemp this ever again. lol...

A couple pics of the Tacoma on a trailer, to take it down and finish up the Headers at our buddy's shop. :) I think it looks pretty cool, seeing the old dodge I use to drive towing my nice Tacoma.

    Sorry for the crappy pics!
