I've got an '04 3.4l 4x4 dbl cab with 101,000 miles on it, it has had an intermittent hard start problem for the last year or so, but never as bad as it was this morning. I cranked on it for about 5 seconds, it started, sputtered, then died. I cranked for another 7-8 seconds, it started, sputtered, then finally took off. It ran fine all the way to work and started good this afternoon. The check engine light had come on this morning right after it started, so I scanned it and got these codes-
P2103-throttle actuator control motor circuit high

P2112-throttle actuator control system stuck closed

P2119-throttle actuator control throttle body range/performance.

Does this point to needing a whole new throttle body since apparently from what I've read the throttle actuator control is built in to the throttle body and non-serviceable? What else (if anything) could it be?

Ok thanks for the advice. If it acts up again I'll put a new TPS on it. They're a heck of alot cheaper than a complete throttle body

did this solve your problem? my truck runs for about 5 minutes driving and then it has no power. you have to push the pedal to the flood and then it revs a little bit. its showing the code P2112 im about to tear the throttle body apart and see if there is something in there or maybe its frozen shut. its about 21 degrees here so thats what im thinking. did you ever change the TPS?

I pulled the K&N air filter out and cleaned it, then I cleaned the throttle body with carb cleaner and I haven't had the problem since
