That is correct but the Tacoma does not have a diff in the transfer case does it. Neither does Chevy,Ford,Dodge or Jeeps. like I said before if they were so damn weak there would be parts every where. The Tacoma transfer case is far better built than a New Process.

Never said it did, what's your point?

Any facts to back that up?
Here's a few sites to peruse with info on the big three and their AWD trucks. Oh, and Jeep too.

So what is your point? Yes some of the trucks do have AWD now they finally pulled their thumb out Toyota has AWD also but not in the Tacoma. It's all about convince, the big boat owners don't like to shift. My point is there are far more part time 4WD’s out there on the road by a huge percentage. How many Chevy’s were built before they went to full time just recently? They did not explode they had issues but you don’t drive over parts and pieces scattered all over the road as some would have you believe. There issues were weak chains (early GM iron case) bad shift forks, bearings, oil leaks and other little issues but no exploding cases. Chevy transfer cases used to have a rudimentary spider gear assembly in their cases the owners were getting stuck and the off road guys didn’t like them the fix was to replace the spider gear assembly with a 4 way cross with no gears back to part time drive they would bind the tires up like crazy but they did not break the cases.
