These are only on the TRD's. So I'm assuming you didn't get a TRD?

I'm just amazed at what seems to be a large number of people on this site who don't seem to do a lot of detailed research before purchasing a vehicle.

Just brought mine home Sat. and now realalize mine are hard to latch without slamming. Going to the dealer Fri, and see whats up.
Shelled out a lot of pesos for this thing and problems already?
Hope they will make it right.

Got a kick out of this when I read it. I have to hurry sometimes and hit the power window switch to close the windows during mid-slam....My kids don't get it either and if I'm fortunate enough/fast enough to get the windows up in mid-swing I feel a nice thud when they close. Else I shudder, my weathertech visors shake, and my rear view mirror moves... and I ask them why do they think they need to slam the freakin door as hard as they can.....

Mine are significantly harder to close than my old Dakota's, but nothing alarming. Harder than our Corolla, too.

My truck is about 3 months old and either the problem went away or i close it harder, because it closes every time now.

cancelled my trip to dealer today. I cracked the windows, as some of you here have mentioned the airtight theory and they close fine.

I agree the stuff that Toyota is getting rid of me is almost stock anymore on other vehicles. I really don't care about their HD radio and entune, etc. It is really disappointing.

Just bought a 2014 Access Cab with TRD Off-Road package as well. I too have had a hard time closing my doors but it isn't so big a deal that I'm going to waste a trip to the dealer. I figure I will continue to close my doors a lil harder or wait for it to break in eventually. I think that Toyota should consider some small additional amenities on these trucks as well. It isn't so big a deal that it will keep me from buying a Tacoma in the future....I'm a Toyota fan all the way. I'd be down for heated mirrors standard, temp gauge/home link standard as well as a USB port standard. I'm not holding my breath though. It's still the most dependable truck out here with the best looks of any compact truck IMO and you can't beat the resale value. It's worth it to me to be without those little things.
