As stated above, I know little about suspension. I have done my research for a few months now about buying, installing, tuning, and everything else related on this forum which is extremely helpful. I have read as much as I can when I am on TW and I want to clear my conscious and ask for the help of everyone as what is the best option. I understand everyone and their mother has opinions about what to buy but the point of this thread is to help noobs learn a thing or two about suspension and to simply confirm what I currently know is all correct. That being said...

I am currently running on stock suspension for my 2013 v6 4x4 base.

I want to purchase Bilstein 5100's front and rear with OEM 884's in front.

I would like to get a modest 1-1/2"-2" lift to fit 265/75/16 in comfortably.

Mostly highway driving but need a little height for driving around the farm.

Given those statements. What else would need to be purchased. I understand that installation and alignment would need to be done. Not entirely sure if I sound like I know what I am talking about, I just don't want to start digging myself into a hole by buying the wrong stuff.

If I missed the "suspension for dummies" thread please link it.

    Thanks for the help.

PS. Don't bust my balls, I have read many of the threads about suspension, I just am simply not the weekend auto mechanic and again don't want to drop money on parts I don't need or won't work. thanks!:)

I ran 884s with 5100s for about a year. It'll get you the right amount of lift to clear 265s without any rubbing. You might want to consider an AAL for the rear to bump up the height a little. Other than that you shouldn't need to purchase anything else.

If i remember correctly that size tire will fit without a lift...

Good to know, I will look into that.

Also good to know, there has been a little debate that it rubs a little, just figured this would be some extra insurance. I also wanted the lift for a little extra travel, and my inner napoleon complex.

All good info, keep it coming!
