I have a 99 Tacoma xtra cab, manual transmission, 3400 V-6. The check engine light came on Friday night. did a computer diagnosis was a multple cylinder misfire, cleared that issues was from five months ago. Here is the troubling part, when I am driving a and push in the clutch the engine accelerates thru all driving ranges, but under 20 mph and the clutch is pushed it does not accelerate.

Is it when u engage the clutch or after u shift n try to accelerate. If the latter Ur clutch may be slipping n needs adjustment. If not I have no damn idea. Good luck op.

Thanks for the response. It is when I push the clutch in and the engine accelerates.

You mean the engine revs up when you push the clutch pedal in releasing it from the flywheel?

Check for vacuum leaks near your fuel system. Check the throttle position valve.

Thanks for all the help it seems the truck has fixed itself or more damage is happening but it is back to normal. When I am driving it, i have no radio or a/c on to listen for any noises.

Do you mean that your A/C and radio stopped working? You've got a wiring harness issue if so. Tug lightly on the wire clusters that are sticking out of the firewall under the hood. Look for wires that are rubbed through or pinched. look to make sure the grommets are intact. The Engine running poorly, no radio and no A/C is a strange combination. If I misunderstood and your truck is normal, you might have had a condensation problem that has dried....untill next time?

I wrote it wrong. I meant to say "I have the a/c and radio off and I am listening for any abnormal sounds"
