Is there a way to program the transponder to eliminate the audible chirp from the lock/unlock process? The flashing lights are enough signal for me.

Dealer should be able to do that for you.

On my '13, I just disconnected the "horn" responsible for the chirps. It is located under the hood by the radiator on the left side if I remember correctly. It is separate from the steering wheel horn.

The owners manual for for my 2014 (page 561) says that this can be turned off by the dealer (as well as the seat belt reminder buzzer).

So yesterday I went to the dealer (Autonation Cerritos) ad requested both turned off. They said they could not (would not?) turn off the seat belt warning alarm but would turn off the alarm chirp. 45 minutes later they told me turning off the alarm chirp was not an option available in their computer, but they did turn off the seatbelt warning (drivers side only at my request).
