    I'm looking for chrome nerf bar for 03 Tacoma 4wd double cab?
    I'm looking for one that fits very close to body of truck. I've looked every where, need help?

    Most bars sit down below the rocker by a certain amount to be able to get your foot on the step pad. If you want something close to the rocker just for looks then you need a "sport bar". It has no function other than to give a chrome strip along the rocker panel. DeeZee make a universal nerf bar that is frame mounted. You could flip the brackets and install them really high on the frame.

    Thanks for info. I keep seeing Tacoma double cabs with chrome nerf bars that are close to rockers. I've been looking at sliders but not sure about them. I don't want to overdue it.
