Hey guys! So I'm new to the site but I definitely want to start asking the questions I've had for quite a while. Finally I feel like I've found the right place to ask these questions. From what I've read, everyone on this site are really knowledgable about their tacos. Alright so I have a 2012 Tacoma 2x4 MT. Tire size for it is 215 70/15. I was looking to purchase new tires but I want something bigger and wider without modifying the suspension. The stock tires just look small inside of that wheel well. What would be the best option? I'm thinking of getting new rims possibly to match my truck's color but I'm thinking of keeping the same rim size of 15. I just need some valuable input. When it comes to tires and suspension parts I can easily get lost. I work at a complete auto repair but my focus is usually on engines and transmissions. I appreciate the input greatly! Thanks!

You can get some stock Toyota rims and tires pretty cheap. And stock size on the bigger trucks is 245/70/16 I think. So a bit bigger, but you'll Prolly lose some mpg but the coolness factore goes up so win win lol

Oh yea forgot to ask about 5 or 6 lug. 6 lug ftw. Sorry OP

Op said stock size is 215/70r15 which is a 5 lugger. And from my experience 15 in wheels are a nightmare to find that clear the calipers.

I agree. The stock wheels are tiny. I also had stock wheels. Your size. I bought 17" wheels with 245/70/17 tires from DICOUNTTIRE.COM. They fit and look GREAT. No clearance issues. You can swap over your TPMS sensors or delete them as some of us have. The mileage and speed will be off a bit, but you'll get used to it.
