I found some 16x8 rims on craigslist with a 4 3/4" or 5" backspacing the guys wasn't to sure. Before I drive an hour to check them out would they fit my rig. 04 DBL Cab 4x4 with stock lift and 265/70s. I don't know if I'm gonna go to 265/75s but i might eventually. Thanks for the help

Its like an hour drive and I've been looking and on the charts with a 5" backspace should should be about equal to that of the stock 16x7 with 4.5" backspace.

5" backspace will work with 265's, anymore than that and you will definitely have problems...

are the rims hubcentric (106mm bore)? that would be a good thing to know too...

no, they are not the same, if you are comparing backspacing, the 4.5" give you an additional .5" of clearance...

I am running 2nd gen alloy's on my 1st gen, backspacing is 5" and things are real tight with 265's, but they clear....thus the reason I added .75" bora spacers, a little peace of mind in the clearance department...
