    You call a dealer and give them the VIN. They tell you if your VIN is under the recall. If it is, they do it.

    I need to have them run mine in their DB to see if this has been done. My driver side was recently replaced (LBJ bolts sheared.. I blame myself). My passenger side is a mystery. Bought the truck 90k miles ago. Just jacked the truck up and tried to pull the wheel up and down and it didn't move so maybe I'm OK. But I'd rather be safe than sorry.

    Went to the dealership this afternoon.
    They are going to replace the lower ball joints at no charge, "9 years after the fact"
    I was planning to buy some new ones from a guy on this forum today when I heard about the recall late last night. Timing could not have been better.

    The dealer will even reimburse OEM parts already installed if you can prove it.
    Saving $185 for OEM parts :p
