I also have Surge, (along with strange transmission performance), and today at 2150kms noticed the chirp on the low setting  I booked an appointment with my dealer in Newfoundland on March 11th, hopefully they will also do the recalls and fix the tranny issue with a flash at that time I'm going to bring copy's of the tsb's and raise a little hell if need be, aparently my dealer is reluctant to satisfy a few of it's Tacoma owners with tsb issues...

i suggest the get a new truck mod to resolve all of the issues properly. this was the only thing that got me to stop shaking and hearing the parts rattling away. toyota never actually fixed anything as everything they fix has all come back, everything.

Ford was bailed out too, they paid to keep it hush hush. They also rigged books, and got away with it.

I hate having to turn the dash lights on and off with the dimmer wheel (which isn't even illuminated). Why the hell don't they go on and off with the headlight switch? Never seen this before.
