I am in the process of adding led strips to the interior of my 08 Dbl cab SR5 Taco, and am gonna wire them to a switch. The switch requires power from a 12v source so i figured fuse tap would be the best way to go to give the switch and lights power.

However, I'm having trouble figuring out what fuse i should tap in to. Anyone done anything like this or heard of anything that might have any suggestions for the best possible solution?? Even if that requires removing the fuse tap from the whole thing that is fine, I'm just stuck and need a little help

why not do what i did....

run an always hot 12v to the bed (i ran a 10awg wire from the batt through a 30amp fuze then all the way to the bed cubby on the driver side far back) and wire up your switch to turn on your LEDs there... no need for a fuse tap etc.

I use a few add-a-fuse setups for my truck. I run them off a line that feeds a related circuit. I think they are $4.95 at autozone.
