I was just driving home when I noticed my ABS yellow light was illuminated on the dash. I also noticed the left turn signal dash light was dimly lit and staying illuminated. I pulled over in a parking lot to check finding nothing. I turned the truck back on and ABS light was initially out, but came on shortly after driving a few minutes. Now the left turn signal light was coming on when applying the brakes?

    Any ideas??

Same thing started happening to me this week. I was towing a lot this weekend with a UHaul trailer. Your EXACT problems began happening the day after I took off the trailer.

    Any luck with resolution??

Assuming both of you guys have the tow package with the 7pin socket, check for corrosion and shorting in the socket. You can also unplug the trailer harness connector up behind the bumper to see if the issue goes away.

Sounds like a grounding issue with the Tail/Turn/Brake Lights.

I forgot to cap off connector when I left. Just capped it yesterday. I'll completely disconnect wiring harness to see if that resolves it. Thanks, guys!

I moded 1999 Taco so much it had turned to Land Cruiser
just tossing here. Sometimes this problem happens due to ice build up on trailed harness, or on connectors under the bad. Its rare but something to check. Good luck.

Thanks guys. It was indeed the trailer wiring harness.

I removed the ground screw first. It was very rusted. The problem was still there. Once I removed the driver's side tail light connector the problem went away.
