So many of us only dream of doing something like this, I know I do. Instead I stare at a computer each day at a job I have worked at for 17 years of my life. Having a family and no longer a young pup doing something like this would not possible, well at least it wouldn’t be practical. Seeing him do this makes me wish I took more risk in life vs. following the conservative path where life becomes so darn repetitious and mundane.

Not that I regret where I am at today, it’s just when you are young with minimal responsibility there is some much possibility out there. I often look back and think, man I should have lived and experienced a bit more. And no I don’t mean party, had plenty of that, just more exploring, seeking adventure, and appreciating nature; the world around our closed in bubble.

It's not impossible. I'm mid 40s and many years ago grew tired of the job scene and went on my own, the transition to being a traveler wouldn't be that hard with a little planning. I already lead a low cost lifestyle (except for all these damn registration and insurance bills for the toys), I'm relatively self-sustainable, and don't have kids so I do have a head start on you. I'm in the half way point (no cubicle and my house is somewhat peacefully secluded while being in a city) so I'm not as driven to going off-grid entirely, but the lack of basic freedom is starting to become a motivating factor to go off shore or at least off grid on land.

BTW, his site comes up on my Mac with Safari so I'm guessing it's something on his end.

Real men just call it camping
    That is so awesome!

This life style has always appealed to me. I went on a six week road trip in 2006. And last year I lived in my trailer for 9 months near Sacramento, California while building some Starbucks and what not. Here was my setup:

And the view from my front door:

It has its goods and bads.
Would I move into a trailer full time again? ... I don't know, but I do at least plan on taking more trips as money and circumstances allow. Next big trip will most likely be Alaska.

I travel the world for work. It's really good sometimes. But, mostly just miss the wife and kids. I also have six months vacation a year.
