I have 240 pounds worth of sand in the truck now for snow in CT 4 bags of tube sand from home depot Has been good to me since the Stock HT tires are still on there and they blow in the snow.

I have been considering installing a rubber bed mat largely for this reason.

The only weight I have in the bed now is about a 1.5" of ice across the whole bed with snow to the rails.

If you're dumb enough to spend $150 on that waterbed thing and put it in your truck as opposed to $15 in sand bags that have more than one use, you'll deserve it when it when the bag freezes and you can't get a 250 lb block of ice out of your truck.

Exactly. Plus if u get stuck and need to dig out. U can crack s bag of sand open for extra traction

I just shovel snow into the bed up to the rails. As the roads clear, so does the bed
