Long time lurker, just became a member

Hey yall!

Been lurking in this forum for about 3 years and just signed up. I HAD a 07 Taco Pre Runner that I bought in 2011. Well, the wife got pregnant and a truck wasn't going to cut it for a "family" vehicle. So the truck got traded in early last year.
I've been depressed ever since lol.. We'll the wife said after some bills get paid, for me to go out and get me a new truck! Yep, she told me to go buy one lol

So I've been researching the newer Tacos.. If I were to get one within the next year, I would go no older than a 2012. But Damn, they are expensive.

Basically what I'm looking for is a double cab and 4x4. 99% of the time I will be driving it on a regular road. I do live near a forest and would love to go trail riding. I know there are areas that you can't get through with 2 wheel drive. I have no plans to go "mudding" with it. Just a lot of sugar sand And easy trail riding.
I didn't know anything about the XSP-X model until this I read about it on here. For an $6k +\- I think I could do with out it.
