I suppose that I could have put this in a different section but wasn't really sure which one to put it in. It will get the most views here though and I really think some of you will like it.

I've got a Galaxy Note 3 and since the phone is rather large (I'm clearly compensating for something) finding a place to mount it is challenging.

Well I found the answer. Nite-Ize Steelie

It works perfectly and there are so many options available with this mount. Thought you guys might like it.

It uses a strong magnet in the base and has a stick on mount for the back of the phone. Inside the mount on the phone is a small piece of silicone that keeps the phone in whatever position you place it in. Enjoy

It looks cool but I'd be more concerned about breaking the phone with my elbow because I have it placed on the console. Also since that it's next to the drink holder, there is a good chance that you could spill your drink on it.

I remember that there was a thread long ago about someone running a cord under console(shifter, cup holder) and having it come out in that small, rubber cubby holder to the right of the shift, up from the cup holder.

I thought about that but I've been pretty lucky with it so far. I had a different mount in the same place. This one is just "cleaner" looking. Of course you can stick it anywhere you like and it will stay. This is just where I put mine.

What about doing it in the cubby under the heater/AC controls. Then you could have your phone sideways. It might be a pain in the ass for you to grab though if you're driving.

Yeah... that would be a pain in the ass. I just like having it at finger tip control.

Mount I used to have. Mounted in the same place but when you took the phone out there was the ugly mount still left there. Fuck I'm OCD....

Haha.. Hell you can mount it anywhere you want. I'm just showing you where I put mine. It would probably be better for a iPhone since they are smaller with more options to mount I suppose. I just like the clean look of it.

The only issue I see with that is (being from California) having to basically look straight down (while driving) to see stuff on your phone. I keep my holder up on the dash so It's a quick glance slightly to the right to see what the wife wants, and cops don't bug you as much, as well as not as much of a distraction while driving :D

Other'n that, I like the way it looks!

Yeah... You can mount it anywhere you want. This is just where "I" mounted it. I'm not saying "mount it here" I just wanted to give you guys a new mount option out there that IMO looks pretty cool and doesn't take up a lot of real estate in the truck. :)

Hey, I'm not knockin' your mount! I really do like the way it looks, seems very streamlined and is actually giving me idea's about running chargers inside stuff so I don't have cables running everywhere. All I'm saying is I wouldn't put it there.

Haha! I'm just bugging. I think that it's cool though. Too bad there wasn't another good place that you could mount it to where you can still have access to your phone easily enough.

Yeah... One of the down sides to buying such a big ass phone I guess lol. I have very limited mounting options with this thing. But... I love the phone though.

Im wondering if the close proximity to the magnet could have any side effects to the internal memory of the phone?

How do you like that phone btw? I'm getting fed up with my Iphone (and apple for that matter) and have been eyeballing android phones again. Had an HTC Evo before my Iphone and loved it, switched to apple because most of the family had it.
