    Hey all-

So today I installed the toytec ultimate lift kit with radflo coilovers and the dakar rear leak pack.

I bought and planned to install Light Racing UCA's, but the long mounting bolts would have hit squarely on the wheel-well cover. In order to get them off, I'll have to cut off the bolt head, buy new ones, and reinstall them from the opposite direction.

I would have done this today, but the local dealership doesn't have them in stock.

SO MY QUESTION IS: Until I install the new ones, how much lift can I have up front with the stock UCA's? I had planned on 2.5" with my new coilovers.

    Thanks for the help!

You should be fine running them at 2.5". You can bend the metal in the wheel well back and get the bolts out and reuse them. No need to buy them unless you really want to ( I believe they are $17 each). I never bent the metal in the wheel well back into place afterwards and no one knows except me.

The body of the truck is put on after the chassis is assembled. That's why the bolts won't come out w/o bending the metal back just a little. Pull the battery on the drivers side and out the bolt comes. I even reinstalled mine the same as stock.

Thanks-- I considered bending the wheel well since the bolt hits exactly ded center on the lip, but the truck only has 1600 miles on it, so I couldn't bring myself to do it.

Anybody else running 2.5" lift with stock UCAs???

The info you got was correct, all you need to do is pry back on the fender inner well some & the bolt will clear without issues, I think theres 1 spot where a bracket or some damn thing had to be loosened/removed but it was no big thing at all & didn't have to cut or permanently bend anything either...

I just installed my lift a few weeks ago, my truck had around 3500 miles on it and I bent my fender lip. Like stated above nobody else will even know, if your careful it won't even effect the paint so when you bend it back it looks normal.

Thanks for the information everybody- bent the sheet metal, installed the light racing UCA's, and got her aligned. All is well, except my wallet is feeling a little sick after all of this...
