Noticed a sound, like air venting cyclically... Turns out there is a small what looks to be drain on the passenger side up against the wall to the cab, which is dripping every 2-3 seconds and landing on the exhaust flange at the bottom of engine bay.

Is this normal? I tried to get pics...

    Yes
It is your AC system condensation drain, it can also cause rust on that side of the frame. It is only a $5 fix to extend that hose down below the frame rail so it drips free and clear. You can either slip a slightly larger hose over it to extend it or they do sell connectors at auto parts stores to attach two same size hose together.

Ok, thanks. I'll take another look once it cools down - looks like there is no hose , but I can certainly fit something over the tip.

    Just the tip... :)

One thing too, I did not have a/c on but it is raining so maybe that is playing a part?

Added a hose which runs (zip tied) to dump below the frame. Easy peasy... Hose ID is 5/8th inches - might want to get a clamp of some kind too, but we'll see how long it lasts as is.
