Can the 115V/400W deck powerpoint be operated when the vehicle is turned off?

    Whats the main benefit then of the powerpoint. What do most people use it for? We do a lot of camping and I was hoping to use it for a fridge (which wont work), and for charging electronics etc. If not this, then what do most people use it for? Thanks.

    trd sport with avid off road light bar, avid rock sliders. OEM roof rack, 12' LED light bar, and Sock monkey decals.
    Ive tried using it for various things. Then ended up giving up since it couldn't handle it and just use it to power lights in the bed at christmas :D

    I believe many go without using it.

    only logical thing that i can think of: saws, drills, air compressor, random stuff on a camping of outdoors trip. a phone or computer can be plugged into the cab.

    there is a way you can mod it to allow a plug in the cab while you driving.

    Supercharger, Baja Suspension, TRD exhuast, Stealth pulley.
    I have used electric drills and circular saw off that plug. Was modifying the hunting cabin. The generator was taken buy the helper.
