I have an 07 Tacoma double cab with the 4.0 V6 4x2 auto trans. and 1000 miles. When slowing down from around 40mph the trans. feels likes its shuddering or vibrating at about 20mph. Anyone else having this kind of problem?? Otherwise having no problems. Thanks.

Got about 1000 miles on the truck and I feel the same shutter when coming to a stop.

Thoughts; Rear break drums out of round, torque converter?

    Anyone else?

There have been a lot of complaints of driveshaft vibrations by late model Taco owners on various forums after adding a suspension lift to their rigs.

It has also been reported that owners of some stock trucks have also complained of the same vibration or shudder you guys are experiencing and it seems to be a problem with the two-piece drivshafts in our trucks. To my knowledge there is no TSB issued yet to address this problem, but I would take your trucks back to your dealers and have them fix it under warranty as it is NOT normal...despite what the service department may tell you.

Not much. Toyota bed mat, Toyota step bars, tinted windows, Toyota seat covers, Toyota all-weather mats, quart of Wild Turkey in the glove box, KelTec PT3AT in the center console, backseat full of old speeding tickets
Same problem here although it does not seem to do it all the time. Another problem that I have (occasionally) when the truck almost comes to a stop, it seems to lurch forward ever so slightly, just enough to notice.

I've noticed the same problem when slowing down and the automatic transmission is down shifting. It's either third or second gear I feel the Vibration / Shuddering. I only have two hundred miles on my truck.. When I go in for it's first service I will mention the problem.

when I come to a complete stop, it's fine. But as soon as I begin to let up on my brakes, the transmission seems to kick a little. What's that all about? I think I'll take it in to the dealership since I bought an extra 100,000 mile bumper to bumper on it. Any thoughts on the problem though?
