    so on sunday we went up to lake nacimiento for a church lake trip but we went up a day early... so we were wake boarding and having a great time....

    the next day the high school group shows up at around 4 pm.... and everybody gets unpacked and sets up their tent.... and we had a little meeting beforehand just to let everyone know what we were going to do all week...

    so this guy rory is 23 and he was invited to go on the trip by my pastor and he had only known him for about 2 weeks and no one knew him for more than a week..... so i had talked to him a few times and he was just the Godliest man i had ever met in my life.... so at about 530 p.m. me and my friends hop in my truck to go down to the store and when we come back at about 6 p.m.... so two girls run up and ask if we had goggles cuz someone was drowning and we all thought it was a joke and it took a little bit to process but we ran down to the water and there were about30 people in the water looking for him and no one could find him... so the fire department came down and about an hour later they found him like 50 feet under water......


    so were home now we cut the trip short we were supposed to come home next week on saturday... everyone is devistated...




    so he is in heaven next to God right now.


    so some weird stuff happened like my mom called her dad and her dad said that he got a message from God to pray for our family and all of the kids on the trip to comfort them.....


    so ya if you guys could just pray for his family to comfort them and just watch over them....

    That is saddening. My prayers and thoughts are out to his family. That is my fear right there. I'm not much of a water fan. So it did give me the chills just to think about the situation. I hope everyone there that witnessed it is doing fine as well.

    Ah bummer man! Definitely prayers go out to their family. What a saving grace it is though that he's kickin it with our Heavenly Father! Prayers also that God's will be done through all this and his life serves as a testimony to others and lots of good will come out of it.

    Also curious what camp it was. Pretty familiar with lots of them in CA.

    Wow. This is pretty hard core. It must have really been surreal and a true bummer to actually be there experiencing this. Another reminder of how short our gift of life can sometimes be. Sorry to hear this.
