Ok let me give you as much info and back round as I can.
I bought FJ wheels with tpm's....I installed 285's on them.
I preparation for the tpm swap I bought the Ateq quickset and the Ateq tpm reader.
I used the quickset to read stock wheels as winter and programmed the FJ wheels as summer...(sofar so good).
Loaded the summer tpms into the truck via OBD2 port.
Tpm Light flashes for a while then goes solid.
I took the TPM reader tool scanned all 4 wheels.
    3 of the 4 wheels are 57-59 psi(my 285" are 65 max cold)
    4th wheels measures 78Psi...
Using a manual pressure guage they all read 60 psi
    I think I got a bad sensor.

I tried the reset button via Owners manual w/ no luck.
what do you guys think..Bad senor right?

    Thanks
    Otto

I went to Toyoata explained my dilemma and they said to run my air pressure at 35.
Tires says 65psi max cold. I had 60 in it. Isnt 35 under inflated?

Correct tire pressure is determined by the vehicles weight, not by the tires max capacity. I suspect 35 might be even a bit too high for even wear with 285's, I'd set them at 30-32

65psi max is exactly that, max. Anything above and the tire can fail. It must have been like sitting in a rock seat at that pressure. Mid 30's is typical. Chalk line test for complete tread coverage. Maybe a little more psi for fuel mileage.
