Has anyone running the 2.825 pulley on their 2nd Gen Tacoma in the OC/LA area been through smog yet? How about the Enhanced smog program area state wide?

My first smog check will be in 2017, but I suspect even without the pulley my truck will not exhale quite as cleanly as the day I drove it off the lot. I have the pulley, just haven't had the time to install it yet.

The blower is 50 state legal... Why are u concerned about it not being clean?

Not sure bout the pulley but I can ask later this week...... Try the stealth pulley at least.

The truck won't be under load anyhow right?
So the bypass valve should remain open causing u to run like a naturally aspirated Tacoma.

I'd worry if u added long tube headers or a ypipe and deleted cats...... Even with a y pipe, running the 02sim on shorties should be fine unless u get a tech who runs over things with a fine toothed comb.

Another issue more concerning than adding a 50 state legal blower is ur choice of intakes.... Keep the stocker in ur garage.

I know the blower is legal, or I wouldn't have it. I'm concerned about passing smog with the undersize pulley here in SoCal, or in any of the Enhanced smog program areas. I'd like to hear from anyone who's been to smog running one.

Wondering this as well, about to get the S/C and debating the pulley, NorCal is fairly strict, but when I took my wifes car in they had it on a dyno at varying RPM's up 3000 iirc.

If everything else is stock and you run a stealth 2.8" pulley... There isn't a snowballs chance in hell that they are going to find out. The stock tune is rich as a pig, so if anything you will be getting a more complete burn thru the cats anyway. I don't think that there is anything to worry about here. And even if they put it on a dyno like 2wheelnut mentioned I can't imagine that they will dynamite it to 3000 RPM. Your bypass won't even close. The truck might as well be N/A. It's only when you begin to remove catalytic converters and begin changing things that are not technically "smog legal" on the visual inspection that you could run into issues.
