I have what i think are OEM tube steps. I am taking my 17" sport rims to get powdercoated (anthracite?) and also wanted to get the tube steps done so i went to take a close look at them. I don't see any visible fasteners holding the endcaps or the two foot pads? down. I assume that they are snap in/friction fit, but was hoping to have this clarified before i spend the time to remove them. Anyone?

I pulled one off my tube steps off and attempted to pry up the footpads and end caps, but neither looked like it was going to come willingly - or at least not without breaking some tabs or mounting mechanism off? Any thoughts?

Anyone have a pair of black or anthracite to spare?
