So I've been dealing with a CEL of P0171 lean bank 1. Tried all kinds of things. New coil, wires, plugs, front O2 sensor. Simple stuff like that. Still there. Truck appears to run fine, until I clear the code and then it runs like shit. Stumbling, no power, sluggish, missing, etc..... After about a minute or two, the code comes back and truck runs fine. I just finished a 700mile road trips at 75-80mph without issue.

On top of this CEL, I have the hard start when warm problem that seems to be common with the 2.7. Truck starts with ease in morning. But if it's warm (sitting for 10-60mins) truck has a weak start and stumbles for a bit until I start driving, then runs fine.

I've searched all over the internet, and have seen all kinds of fixes. O2 sensors, clean MAF, coil, plug gap, exhaust leak, vacuum leak, fuel filter. I've done all that without it helping the issue. Recently I've found a handful or two of articles saying a new MAF fixed it, and another one saying he replaced the head and it ran great. (Which kind of makes sense b/c I had a ranger that had a hard start issue, and swapped the head, and it ran like a champ.)

So I think I'm going to try the MAF, then the head. Any advice on where to pick up a head? I know I can get this one rebuilt, but with the internet these days, it's just about the same price to get a new one.
Or, if you know what the issue is, I'll buy you some beer and pizza.
