Are you seeing on Crutchfield that it's not compatible? I can't link a specific thread or say 100% for sure, but I seem to remember reading several posts that CF says they don't fit, but the fold down DVD units actually do fit. Try searching around the forum and see if you can't come across your answer...it may take some digging

Edit: This guy put one in his 2013 with no issues. I'm assuming your 2nd gen will be fine too and many others have different model fold down DVD h/u's

There will be a full writeup and video come Wednesday. I got called out of town on business today and tomorrow so I can't do it yet. The car is also on jack stands too so there's that as well...

I'll give you the cliffs notes teaser though. If you're an android user you're in for a treat. Essentially 100% mirror capability on the app radio screen. While the normal Pioneer app only gives you limited access to 4-5 terrible apps the setup I have running gives you access to EVERYTHING that's compatible with your phone. It's a revolution in car audio. It's exactly what I've been waiting for. :)

I've wanted to do the same thing, but have been madd lazy.

Google Nexus 5, 4.2.2, rooted, AppRadio Unchained, tasker with some slick profiles, and just go through bluetooth function, radio function, connect slimport adapter, show appmode, mirroring, etc.

It isn't without issues. It isn't difficult at all, but sometimes things don't work just perfectly. Maybe bluetooth wont connect and you have to force it, or some other odd thing occurs, but that's not often at all, 98% of the time I get in, it connects perfectly the first time and we're good to go.

I posted one up early in this thread of the SPH-DA110 with iPhone 5, non jailbreak, no AR Extensions, etc.. I abandoned my iPhone 5 for Android and am way happier.

I'll try to get something up too.

I might hit you up for your tasker profiles. Honestly, I don't really understand how to write a task just yet. I understand the concept but don't know the terminology to make a task that functions. I'll hopefully have a video up tonight.
