OK, so I'm going with some EBC Green Stuff Pads and EBC Slotted Rotors up front.

What should I use for the rear drums and shoes for the rear? Can't seem to find anything other than OEM replacement type stuff...

    Recommendations?

I have EXACTLY the same question. I have looked all over and cannot seem to find any recommendations for good brake shoes. It is probably because they last forever, but I would still think that someone would want to upgrade?

BTW I even called EBC and they don't even make brake shoes for autos. Weird.

I don't think you're going to find any "performance" brake shoes. The front brakes do the majority of your braking and they should be your focus. If you really want to "upgrade" the shoes I would just go to your local parts store and see what the best shoes they carry are.

x2, never touched by rears the entire time I owned my Tacoma. I checked them every so often to make sure they were wearing alright but even at 100k miles, they looked fine.

Makes sense, I know that they wear VERY slowly. I just upgraded the front pads and rotors and installed stainless brake lines, so I guess I was looking to "upgrade" all around. I have seen some brake drums that have cooling "fins" on them (I think they are made by Centric). They look good and the idea of having cooling fins actually makes some sense, but am wondering if it is more hype.
I am still wondering why the Taco does not come with four wheel discs? I know they are saving money, but the Tundra has it and so does the FJ.
Anyway, thanks for the advice guys.
