I have a new 2014 Tacoma 4x4 4.0 auto trans. Just hit 1000miles. When I am at a full stop it suddenly jerks or feels like someone just bumped you from the rear. Gonna take to the dealer. Anyone experienced this before. hope its not a sign of something serious.

I don't know if, what I experience is the same problem that you see.

    My driving experience:

    1. Usually the truck has been driven only about 3 miles from a cold start

    2. I pull out from home and my fist stop sigh is about 2-3 miles

    3. When I stop at the stop sign, and if thee is traffic, causing me to sit there 30 seconds or so

    4. The truck will slightly lurch ahead, causing me to press harder on the brake

    5. I have never just let it go, I just add a little more pressure to the brake

    6. I can't tell if the transmission, is shifting to the lowest gear; which would possibly cause the lurch, or something else

    7. I don't think the engine is trying to speed up on it's own, rather than the trans is shifting to 1st gear

Happens to me as well.. I think it has something to do with the defroster being on as everytime it happens my defroster is on... weird.
