So, I'm picking up my new truck tomorrow and want to get an alarm/remote start installed ASAP. Anyone in the New Haven/Central CT area have a reputable installer they would recommend? I've found a couple of shops that have been open a long time and will go check them out.

I spoke with both on the phone. Starlander would install an Omega system while Jodi's has Audiovox and a couple of others to choose between.

The last thing I want to do is muck up my new truck by trying to install it myself and I want to get the alarm on ASAP. Any ideas CT people?

go see SAM at audioworks in Milford.. he does good clean installs and knows his stuff. They have CompuStar and Vyper systems. I went with compustar. It works well and starts truck from far away. Sam installed my kenwood head unit also with steering wheel controls. When the software update from kenwood was released he did it for me no charge, also adjusted the sensitivity to my alarm no charge. good follow up service so i recommend them.

Just wanted to update this for other folks in the area. Audioworks ended up working out for me. After a couple of unreturned calls, I decided to drop by, and that was the right move.

They did great work and for a great price. I figured the unit would cost me at least $200 on my own and they did the entire thing installed with siren for $525. Got the Viper 5706v LC3 unit and have been loving it so far. I was figuring about $300 in labor for some random guy to install, and these guys are certified for Viper installation.

David Ugalde was the guy I worked with and he was really nice. Answered all my questions and didn't mind me wasting his time talking it all through. Anyways, wanted to pass it along as I was very pleased with the install and working with those guys.
