Toyota is contacted about your rotted frame then what?

My 2002 Tacoma was inspected the dealer found a hole alot bigger then the pin hole I found and I was told they submitted into to Toyota to see what they want to do. How long did it take for you guys to hear back? Do they offer anything other then a new frame? What did they replace with the frame? My shocks are all rotted are they going to replace those anyway?

 

No if they replace the frame that's all they will do and nothing more, you are responsible for the rest.

 

Did they reopen this recall? To my knowledge it expired in 2011?

 

They extend the warranty if you had the dealer applied undercoating, which i had done, i heard they replace the leaf springs and brake lines

 

Oh really? I wonder if mine is bad enough. Then again, I hope it isn't. I may or may not have cracked a leaf.

 

False. They will replace all rotten parts.

 

they replaced all my rotten parts when they did mine. new frame, shock, coils, springs, brake lines, and any hardware that looked bad. Mine is fucking beautiful underneath. oh and just had my tire carrier replaced for free cause of a hint of rust on it. Toyota has done good by me.

 

This is basically what my truck got except no new struts. I got new lower control arms though.
