I've had my Tacoma for almost a year now, and finally decided to lift it. I've been doing some research around here for a while, and decided to go for the generic Bilstein 5100 front and backs, Eibach coils up front, and an AAL in the rear. After placing that order, I noticed that my rear leaf springs were looking kind of tired, and figured I'd just replace them anyway. Looking around, I decided to go with the All-Pro standard leaf springs (as well as skids in the same order). I then realized that the All-Pro leaf springs advertise a 3" lift, and just looked up that the 5100s are good for up to a 2.5" lift. I already have the 5100s in my possession, and the leaf springs have already been shipped. I can't imagine that .5" is going to create a HUGE problem, but I figured I'd ask before I mess up something serious.

Also...I've got the front and rear shocks, front springs, hopefully work out the rear leaf springs soon, and a new set of u-bolts. Since this lift is going to be bigger than I originally anticipated, I'm most likely going to order a diff drop kit. The leaf springs I have on the way include the bushings. Is there anything I'm missing?

Although I'm not new to working on cars, this is my first truck, and this is the biggest project I've taken on so far...so any help and advice is appreciated.

Edit to add clarification: My concern is that the rear leaf springs provide 3" of lift, while the rear shocks are only good for up to a 2.5" lift.

OME 881 coils with OME nitrochargers shocks up front. TC UCA's OME Dakars with extra leaf in the rear. Warn 8000 winch with 80ft custom braided synth line. Custom 60ft synth extension. All pro tube bumper, Hi-lift jack, Safari Snorkel, Wilco tiregate. 2019 Jeep JLUR.
What's your concern, that the front will be a tad higher?
Just get a 2 in shackle to add 1 inch with your all pro springs.

Or did I read that wrong?

If you are worried that the rear is going to be higher with just the all pro springs....don't.
It will level the truck out nice.

If I included too much detail and my post was confusing, I'm sorry.

My concern is that the rear leaf springs provide 3" of lift, while the rear shocks are only good for up to a 2.5" lift.

Sorry, I have no advice to offer. Subbing to find out the answer, since I'm curious to know.

Welcome to TW, btw. Head over to the new member area and introduce yourself when you get a chance.

You're going to be pretty close. The rear of the truck might be a little higher than the front, but it won't be much. Personally I prefer some rake so that when you load up the bed of the truck it still sits level.

Only other item you probably want to add is an extended rear brake line. You're going to be stretching your stock one pretty tight with that lift.

I'm not too concerned with the rear being a little higher than the front. I'm more concerned about something like over-extending the shocks.
