I've been wondering, if I bought new coils instead of preloading my current off road coils with 5100 shocks, I need to buy new shocks either way, correct? I was at tractor supply the other day and we were driving my wifes car and I parked close to this other Tacoma that looked lifted to me. When I was walking to the store I walked by it and looked to see what kind of lift it had, but noticed it still had the stock yellow shocks. I'm no expert at all on lifts but I tried to look for a spacer and didn't see one of those either. So that got me thinking more but I would think you would need longer shocks to accomodate the longer coils for lift.

After I read my post again maybe it doesn't make sense. Anytime you buy new coils like Eibach or OME 883,884,885 you have to buy new shocks? You can't reuse the stock yellow bilsteins
