    yes it is... i was recording one that was flying around the ship... then i stopped and it came again but i was looking down... and heard a big boom.... mofo broke the sound barrier and i missed it completely -=(

    Actually F18 E/F are Navy and Marine Corps only... the Air Force doesn't fly F18... They fly F16, F22, and of course the venerable F15E strike eagle.

    The F35 Lightning is going to be a cross branches plane though... the Navy, Marine, and Air Force will all have different versions. Marine will have VTOL, Navy beefier wings/gear/fuel tank, and air force will have the pussy version
