Recently I had my tire pressure up to 35 PSI all around with a topper and 265/70/17 P rated tire and got 17.8 MPGs combined interstate and city. However, on the way home last night I only got 15.5 mpgs with that set up plus about 150lbs of luggage in the bed of the truck. I'm wondering if that would have caused any difference to the fuel economy? I run regular gas in my truck. It's an 06 with 117k on the odometer.

Higher pressure equals less rolling resistance. Pump em up for better economy but a harsher ride.
