Thoughts on the DC long bed vs short bed

    Sure do love the maneuverability of my SB, great turning radius for making u-turns, tight parking lots, and off-road. We're really only talking about losing maybe 10 cubic feet of space at the most going shortbed. If I needed a long bed I'd go with a Tundra and get the extra depth in the bed as well.

    Had the short bed for 13 years because that was the only option and very rarely wished I had something longer. Before I decided I made sure my mountain bike would fit (I was coming from a '90 extended cab 6' bed)

    That said, I decided to go with the long bed this time around for the extra room "just in case"

    I do notice the longer turning radius however, especially in the parking lot at work. Quite often I have to back up & adjust position, which I rarely had to do with the gen 1 DCSB -- the extra few inches of width probably contributes some too.
