TRD vs. SR5 for 2001-2004 tacomas

    wondering what is the differences in an ext. cab trd truck and an ext cab sr5. I pretty sure the trd suspension is better but i will be buying the truck salvaged so i will probably replace the shocks soon after i get it fixed. So is there any other differences?

    If you are replacing the shocks then the only difference is the the TRD Off Road will have the Electronic Locking Rear Differential. The SR5 doesn't have this feature. Also, the coils and leafs are different on both.

    Im not too sure as far as interior but the TRD Off Road has the bucket seats and most SR5s will have the 60/40 seats Don't quote me on this, there could be some SR5's with bucket seats.

    Looks like i will be looking for trd trucks. Really wanting that rear e-locking. Don't have one in my 96 but sure wish i did. Thanks!
