this has been sitting at my friends paint shop for over a year know. the front end got smashed pretty good. broke the driver side wheel off the truck and bent some shit under there I think. any ways the frame has been straightened out and welded. it has new fenders and hood ( needs painting) needs grill lights and bumper and all that. He says the engine isn't running that the timing belt probably slipped off?? windshield isn't broken so thats good. interior is in okay shape I guess. but the owner of the truck is MIA. so he wants to fix the truck and put a lean on it so I can buy it. Now.. has this truck gone gone off the deep end or is it fixable? I can post up pics later no problem...How can I tell if it is a REAL TRD OFF ROAD? I ran the vin number on it car fax says its a 98 toy coma runner. Im trying to get it for 1500-2000 bucks? what are your thoughts?

If you can get the motor running, for a couple grand it could make a great desert prefunner. Is there a "RR DIFF LOCK" button on it? If so, then it should have the stock e-locker. If not, you can always get an air locker for it.

Personally, I would be more concerned about the motor. Once you have that running and tuned, the durability of the motor alone makes it worth the few thousand you would throw into it to make it a good toy.

I don't see no elocker on it, dang it. That's what I'm playing on doing with it. The frame looks to be replaced already. I'm defiantly going to try to get this thing
