09 Tacoma Double Cab stuck in Park - Gear shift works

Here's the deal:

I drove the truck to work, no problems. When I went to leave work, the truck started perfectly fine, the gear shift moved freely between all the gears. The dash and truck stayed in park.

I've searched every fuse I could find and they all seem fine. I tried the "button" trick and nothing happened.

Brand new Transmission, no problems leading up to this.


Anybody have this happen? Or anybody know what the problem could be?

Any help appreciated. I really don't want to deal with the dealer twice in a year, especially since they informed me that it most likely won't be covered under warranty for the transmission.

 

Sounds like a linkage has come loose.
