I just brought home my new 2014 DC Long Bed about a week ago and so far I am in love! I have to take her back tomorrow for a couple of days to get the last coating and Clear Bra, then it is time for the add-ons!

So far I am keeping it simple: all-weather floormats and a Tonneau soft cover for the bed. Forthcoming very soon will be a set of steps or nerf bars followed by grill and ditch lights. I am planning for trails and mudding, but NO rock climbing. I am happy to hear any suggestions on mods you may have as I am always looking for ideas! Though, a lift of MAYBE 3 inches is a while off...

And by the way, if there are any modders in the Portland/Salem area, I would LOVE to hear and learn from you! For as much as I would love to do a lot of this stuff on my own (like mounting and wiring the lights), I am VERY nervous about doing it on my own and screwing it up since I have no experience with it!

Welcome . Just a note on mods I have factory running board on mine and they are useless imo. Can not fit foot on them easily and when you do it is about a 2 inch area. They are mounted right up against rocker if you use oem. I would go aftermarket for better function. I am looking into a Bully step and just taking oem off. Good Luck

    Welcome, nice truck!
I hope that last coating is under coat or some kind of rust protection. Also keep a eye on those wheels. Clean them often and you might consider some additional corrosion protection for them. Other mods, drain tube for the a/c, breather relocate for rear differential, bed lights, ect.

That is one good looking truck! Welcome to the boards.:D

If you're thinking running boards anyway, and plan on taking her off road, have you considered some rock sliders? I'm thinking that will be the next step for me.

Agreed. And running boards/nerf bars hurt my eyes.
